El Castillo is the main building in the archaeological site of Xunantunich, near Benque Viejo and 130 km west from Belize city.
Xunantunich is a Mayan word and means "woman of stone" (mujer de piedra, in Spanish) and is a modern name, being the original unknown.

interesting monument well framed, good light even colors are a bit strange on my screen with almost a purple tone for the stones.

I might try a quick workshop to remove the blue color cast from the lower part of this image. Good angled pov which gives a 2 or even 3d look rather than front on. Excellent sharpness and well framed and composed. Tfs!

I see the purple hue too, and I love it, it adds a beautiful sense of drama and total mystery to this place. You chose the perfect angle to shoot from, with the sky behind creating a fine 3D effect (the clouds look like they are moving) while the lush green foreground is a perfect compliment to this. Wonderful place and shot, thanks
All the best

This is a magnificent building. Since I have never been to this part of the world I have never seen anything of this kind. It is truly impressive and you show it from a good POV which I believe gives full justice to the complex.
Like others before me I find the colours a bit strange. I think the problem is too much magenta. I tried to get rid of it, which was easily done with the "Auto color correction" of Photoshop Elements. It could also be done "by hand" by adding green. I think that is actually a better method than the one used by Chris. Please judge for yourself.
