Photographer’s Note

I can't really explain what I have found interesting in this scene. Maybe the fact that an extremely simply wooden building on the seashore is called "movie house" (even if it can't be seen well with this resolution). Maybe the contrast between the illuminated house and the menacing darkness of the storm in arrival. Or maybe just the authentic rural atmosphere of a location that otherwise could be called an earthly paradise.

And maybe all this is not interesting at all - I will learn it from your critiques, if there will be any.

this is a really good capture.it has a 'Castaway' feel to it. The whole wooden structure behind the boat and the incoming strom.Everything blends well.And the colrs are great. Thanks for sharing - Vikram

hi andras, this is nice, the colourful house, moody sky, nice use of the boat in the foreground. perhaps a bit too much empty space on the right .. a lower p.o.v. might have helped

Great contrast here between the sunny house and palms and the brooding clouds on the horizon. Because the main subject is Mike's Movie House, I have mixed feelings about the boat taking up so much of the frame. On the one hand, it detracts from the attention I'd normally give to the house; on the other hand, it gives the scene good depth and leads the eye in. Either way, it's a good shot.
