Great Guana Cay is a long but narrow islet which is 9 miles (14.5 km) in length located in the centre of the Abaco Islands, about 8 miles from Marsh Harbour. It has a five and a half mile long beach on the ocean side which is one of the longest in the Bahamas. A cove on the island is called Kidd's Cove named after the pirate William Kidd. The island has a population of approximately 150 people who live on a settlement which stretches along the beach. Great Guana Cay's settlement is known for its rich loyalist culture and architecture, as well as its lively social scene. Several traditional loyalist homes exist in the settlement, which wraps around a natural harbor.
After snorkelling, our captain took us to the settlement for lunch. On the way into the harbor, we whizzed past this interesting vessel.

You're capturing well this scene by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the calm sea, long/narrow islet and the ship which is cruising. It seems to be the tasteful cargo ship which carries the soil and sand. Here looks like another attractive aspect when I read your note, although I haven't visited this Great Guana Cay in Bahama.

Fantastic view on your way to lunch. Love the colour of the water over here. This vessel looks like a tug boat, not sure. Good composition with sky, land and sea. Thanks for sharing.

For me it looks like a small wonder that this old working horse of a barge stays afloat here. Pleasing shot of a every day scene in the Bahamas though.
have a great sunday
