Photographer’s Note
Another of my scanned negatives from a Canon EOS650
I was stationed in Antigua in the West Indies for two years. In those two years there was a drought and they have no fresh water except for rain water. Needless to say, it was hot, sunny and DRY for two years. The base had a desalinization plant so we had water and they would truck water to people living off base. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, but two years on a 100 square mile island where the weather hardly ever changed? Even a tropical paradise can become.... tedious.

Hi Shelly,
nice shot! Your vertical framing works very well here and the evening light is very pleasant, looks like a great place to relax and enjoy a nice evening. Wow, 1983, long time ago, I always love to see shots taken back in the analog era, since I never shot film. Very nice, thanks for sharing!
Take care
Mark

Bonjours,
belle photo de cette plage superbe, avec ces hauts palmiers, choix judicieux de la prendre en hauteur, de cette façon on n' en ratte aucune partie et cela donne un bon recul et de la profondeur a votre photo.

Hello Shelly,
A twenty-five year old image with good composition, good scan-job, and an engaging note. You had a sense of composition even then. What sensational slides you must have among your archives.
Warm regards,

Hi Shelly,
Its great to see u again.....been away for a while. I do agree that too much of a good thing can reduce its value :-) Gets pretty dry over this way as well...late october and still no real rain since march! I like the effect created by the scan....a real sense of time! Take care.
Regards, David

Hi Shelly,
Lovely vertical presentation of this vibrant torpical scene.
It seems you got to see some wonderful parts of the world in your naval days.
I can see where one would take the fine weather on a small island for granted after a while.
