Photographer’s Note

This sunset was one of many we enjoyed while on our honeymoon in Antigua. On the horizon sits a ship waiting to bring its cargo to port. Just beyond the large cloud on the left (not visible in this shot) is the island of Montserrat.

super cliche dans de magnifiques couleurs...grandiose le spectacle qui nous comble la vue...les nuages jouent un jeu de lumieres bien rendu...et les bateaux en ombres chinoises donne un plus a la composition...bien vu et bon job...amicalement BI

There are many things I like about this image. The sea is cool and dark against a blazing warm sky. The massive, ominous cloud on the left keeps the picture from being too simple and sweet. The light clouds floating in front of it and to the right give a very difficult to achieve three dimensional look to the sky. The boats achieve the same effect on the water. It seems like a flat sort of image with large masses of simple color. But it also seems very three dimensional. It's a nice effect.

I also like the format. We often show our photos in the same rectangular size that our camera produces, without thinking about whether a different format would make it look better. With this image, the extra width is very appropriate for a view of sea and sky.

Nice photo to start the day while sitting in the freezing Oregon, feeling we are in another place.
The colors are impresive. The sun behind the clous in the upper edge is very nice.

Fantastic sunset shot Robert!!!...

This particular photo is quite stunning... I like the combination of the low streaky clouds pulling out of the Cumulus rain clouds in the background... and the smaller clouds in the foreground gives the image great depth... those wonderful burnt orange colors in the backlit sky, nice contrast with the sailboat silhouettes...

Well done!!!...

This could be a simply amazing photo i've ever seen, the color of that sunset is truly phenomenal. People who will see that horizon mades them breath deeply as they are waiting for that last lit of the sun. The color of the sea, feel so warm and easing my mind. Color of clouds and their formations are adding stuning effects to that ship as well, very good capture indeed!

Bonjour Robert, les nuages en gris bleu jouent avec ceux qui sont sous les feux du soleil couchant et font un beau contraste. Les bateaux au calme semblent attendre paisiblement la nuit. Belle image à contempler.
