Just got back from the sea-expedition along the Kuril Islands (Russian Far East, the islands separate Sea of Okhotsk from the Pacific).
Most of them is no place to live.
But the cold beauty of the Russian Far East has a magic that makes those places to be dreamed of.

You're back! Quicker than expected! How was it?
A short reaction, since I'm in an internet cafe in Bali, but I like this shot! It could have done with an ND Grad filter, but I know that you're travelling to locations where you'll not be dragging a bag of filters around! Nice detail of the bird in the foreground!

This is indeed a great shot. I loved the romantic shades, the entire atmosphere is very serene and peaceful and you have captured it perfectly. The mountain's flat top with clouds and a bird in the sky make it really mystical.
