Photographer’s Note
It was a hot and savagely brilliant day in Bangkok today and, I came across this hot and savagely brilliant foot. It is Wat Sri Suderam, on the Thonburi Side, near my work and it reared up in my path. Oh course, it is attached to a giant golden statue. When the previous abbot of the temple died his followers immortalized him with a golden statue about 4 or 5 stories high. I posted a picture of the statue before, and proviked very little interest.http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Asia/Thailand/photo188083.htm I just thought that trekearthers might find the foot itself more interesting.
The Christian Bible says "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the gospel of peace" Well! I thought people should know that we Buddhist have some nice feet too. In fact I doubt that you could find a bigger, better golden foot anywhere in the world. Could this be a new theme 'Feet in the world’s great religions?’We've had battles of windmills; why not a battle of feet?

A brilliant POV, Kevin, and a very good result for the golden color. The figers are a bit strange, they look more like hand fingers.

you intrigue me to see the complete buddha, but I remember your photo a few weeks ago.
This POV is pretty, it would be nice to see the "peak" of the temple-building, but anyway, it's a photo with pretty colours, you had very good sunlight. Thanks and bye
