Photographer’s Note

That 70-200 IS lens finally came in handy for something: the morning rowboat rides along the Ganga. I must say that it is a very very strange river. The three sadhus were cruising along the ghat. A difficult shot to get clearly on a boat bobbing in the river.

Really a superb set you're presenting at the moment Caleb. Great arrangement of these three, especially the way their legs are all pretty much inthe same position.

Great catch Caleb (you pay for what you get! lol) i wish they made a kind of triangle here though.. (so, the guy in the middle would be a wee bit on the left side.. Couldnt you shout at them from your boat that they could be in a bit more order? Lol!)
Nice orange colours... (i wish i were there too, i envy you.. :)

Beautifully placed parallel lines on yellow backdrop with architectural patterns makes the photo. Three wise men add some more spice to that beauty.

The 70-200 gives the finest color gamma compared to others making colors sometimes hars, the IS correct a lot of blurring very effective so easy to shoot handheld. Here the PP is a little bit overdone as the soft colortoning was changed to a rather harsh impression, sure that you can correct this with more fine tuning as you got the time now limited while travelling. The framing is excellent coloring a bit too much and contrast not enough, sure this are alle minor to be corrected, main you shot the right moment with the right positions of the man and the perfect background to it.
Short, the capture is perfect, the PP has a lot more possibilities here.
