Photographer’s Note

At Bohol Beach Club this fellow decided to get a massage outside on the beach in one of the cabanas. She is giving the man a Thailand Style massage. The young masseuse is pretty and she ask me not to take her picture when I got closer. The team of masseuse is popular at the club. It is quite dark already when I took the picture, so I used ISO 320. The charge for a massage is pretty stiff per Philippine standards 400 Pesos an hour or US$7.50

Hello Andre. This is a nice shot. In particular it makes you wonder what she's thinking about. She has a very detached look.

If she asked you not to take her photo when you got closer, isn't the fact that you've published this photo on the web completely disrespectful?

I find myself wanting to tighten the composition to focus on the woman's hands working on this man's back. I created a workshop to test that hypothesis. I'm conscious of your comments about the woman's reluctance to have her photo taken. She is, of course, in an awkward position as an employee of this club to express her displeasure. My alternative honors her feelings while conveying what seems essential to the story you tell about Thai massage. See what you think Andre.

By the way, your D100 is a fine camera and this is an excellent photo.
