Photographer’s Note
For how many thousands of years have the faithful been repeating this living mantra in this same place? - on the banks of the Narmada in Ujjain. Photo taken at dawn of a Brahmin descending the ghats. And yes, I took a little liberty with the color balance, but not much.

This is almost like a graphic of those circles in the water and the painter in you got the right feeling to give this an extra colorpalet. How beatifull this man stand in the center of the circles backlighted by the reflections of the sun in the water. Very well composed graphic witha nice suggestive subject Caleb.

Hi, Caleb
very special shot, the colors are not that irreal, and i believe it's ok to help it with a little PS to convey the feelings it can inspire. there indeed seems to be 2 worlds put together, in the swirl (samsara) created by the brahmin and the perfect oblong curves it created, giving a cosmic touch to the image, appropriately.
From Brahmin to Brahma....
The intensity of the light almost hiding the edge of the frame is a little overpowering, but one can as well find it an intrinsec part of an image that is so much about light and Light.

Hi Caleb, Just a great simple image of the silhouetted Brahmin at the center of all those great ripples. The dark reflections in the top right help in balancing the wonderful composition. The colours are very attracive and striking. Nicely framed too. Great work.

Artistic pic! At first I did not like the pinkish tint... but now I think that from an artistic point of view, it is very very nice and unique.

I trust you're having a great time there judging from the quality of your shots. Caleb...your last shots are awesome. The colors are beautiful. For this one, I love the composition. The colors, IMHO, are just right. Keep on shooting. And give us more beauty of India.

Perfect composition and great mood accented by the red tones.
Though I would crop upper and right parts a bit to reduce over-exposed area and distracting shadow in top right corner. Jean's WS shows it well.

Wow! What color...a river of vermilion! You have done justice to the almost mythical river Narmada at Ujjain.
Narmada in Ujjain (ancient Ujjaini) had ushered the confluence of cultures of the North and the South...the famed capital of legendary Chandragupta Vikramaditya, and the place where India's most acclaimed classical poet, Kalidasa, wrote his poem Meghaduta...

A wonderful lesson in the use of light and colour, Caleb. A simple image but very effective. Well composed with perfect positioning of the person and the ripples in the water do a great job of framing and focusing attention on the subject.

I've spent a good 30 minutes browsing through your impressive collection of images!
I'll be back for another look, but I couldn't leave without commenting on this masterpiece.
It's got it all - sacred geometry, clarity of colour, apt title and thoughtful note.
Wonderful image.
Cheers
