Kamakura is a town located in the coast, and was capital of Japan between years 1185 and 1333.
For that reason there are at the moment 65 Buddhist temples, between which are both monasteries zen older. The Great Buddha - Daibutsu- is the visited place more of Kamakura; the statue is of bronze, measures 13.5 meters and was made in 1252.
It has shock absorbers in the base, and the interior can be visited although it is very many warm.
In order to become an idea of the size, she appears a person in the inferior right part of the image.

Vaya lo que me espera... Muy buena idea lo de tener el referente humano para darnos cuenta de la escala de la estatua. Me gusta bastante como la foto pasa del verde de la derecha al azul de la izquierda, con la estatua debidamente descentrada aunque acaparando claramente el protagonismo. Nada. Muy bonita y además aumenta mis ganas de ir (aunque más vale que me tranquilice porque queda todavía un puñao de tiempo para ir)

Cada cop que la veig m'agrada més, t'he de dir que ha anat de - a +, m'agrada aquest blau que resalta la imatge del Gran Buda. Els detalls de la imatge son molt clars, sembla que estiguem allà davant mirant-la. Per al meu gust, m'agradaria més que no es vegés l'edifici, i que fossin pins verds, mes baixos que el de l'esquerra, el que ocupés l'espi de la dreta, seria més mística, però es clar, això no es pot triar! Molt bona llum, en aquesta hora del dia, les ombres son molt fortes, i aquí te n'has sortit molt bé... fixa't amb el coll. Molts records.

The budda seems to be in deep medidation... You caught that well thanks to an interesting pov.
But I must say I regret the guy on the right side !
