These Akha women were busy setting up tables of their handicrafts to sell to the small group of people I was trekking with. The Akha women make beautiful belts, bracelets, and purses out of beads, metal pieces, and natural seeds. This can make it hard on a girl who likes to shop when she's trekking and has so little extra space in her pack ;)
you can see some of the belts hanging over the corner of the table there.

Hello Emily,
Really nice expressions caught on these Akha faces here...I worked as an english teacher in an Akha village last summer and stayed in the house of an Akha familiy for several weeks...so I know them very well..they are so wonderful people...as to the handycrafts I think I had 5kg of them in my backpack when I got back... :-p Only presents..they are so beautiful!
