Photographer’s Note
8.21 a.m. - The beauty of Halong cruise is that it is easy going and relaxing. After taking a few shots I have the luxury of lying down on the open deck and contemplate. So here is a short poem I wrote to show the thoughts that run through my mind after taking this shot. It is especially dedicated to the fisherman on this boat.
As I laze and cruise the Halong
This little boat seems to tag along
Like dolphins playfully chasing me
This little boat seems to be free
Floating on this glassy water
The fisherman seems not to deter
Going through his daily chores
Constantly thinking of his family ashore
Rocking gently to the passing waves
Nothing matters for it is safe
The catch was all in his mind
Enough for the family will be fine
Looking down at the crystal surface
He can see his twisted face
“Am I that ugly?” he may ponders
But he is happier than many a yonder
I have to pay to see this place
For him this is his palace
What more can he asked for
But to thank God for evermore.

Hello Aloysius,
This is an interesting daily life documentary!
It is obvious the boat is not only a workplace but also their home, a simple and probably a happy life provided the fishery pays off...
A well composed presentation with good details!
Greetings,

Hi Aloysius,
I think this peaceful picture is worth a poem, so you did well to dedicate the result of your poetic vein to this fisherman.

Hi Aloysius,
A nice photo of the boat on the river. The colours are very pleasant, especially the blue of the river is very attractive. The composition is good too, with the boat well placed off-centred. Well done!

Lars

Wonderful view of this floating boat with interesting details and colours . The BG looks like an abstract painting with that huge rocks. Great shot from the dreamy land of Halong Bay.TFS
