Photographer’s Note
Second time in Hanoi,This day i want to visit 2 places in Hanoi before go southern to Hoi An.After long waiting in row to got inside Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum(Photo inside had prohibit). From in side when I'm in the row to pass the body of Uncle Ho.I feel for myself this place had build like another places in the world that to keep the eternal memory of their great leader to all of the people.I had received my camera from officer outside and drop by the big square front of Mausoleum before go to The Presidential Palace Area.I know later that this place call the Ba Dinh Square. This Square had the giant flag pole.It was great POV when i saw with the Mausoleum building.I took this shot by adding wide converter to my camera that could cover flag pole and the Mausoleum building.
For PP.I cropped a little bit to composition and used curve to adjust contrast.Secondly,I used shadow/hight light to open detail on Facade of the Mausoleum. Finally,I used smart sharpen, framing and resize to finish.
Many information in Hanoi:

IMO it could be a bit more bright and clear (please, see the WS that I just did), but otherwise I think that this photo depicts very well an image that the communist regime wants to convey, the awe of the spectator with an impressive building - these empty (and sterile) huge spaces only useful for manifestations organized by the government and for putting more emphasis on the soviet-style architecture, with the emblematic flag in the FG : an intelligent composition, amusing to see the obedient crowd heading for the mausoleum in an orderly fashion !
Compliments !

(The mausoleum did not impress me that much as I had seen before Chairman Mao in an even more grand setting - but this view reminded me also of the huge square in front of the Potala palace in Lhasa - even if decorated with cheerful flowers everywhere, it remains a sad and sterile and incongruous monstruosity in front of a building that has nothing to do with it...)
