[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
10.57 a.m. - The most striking impression of Hanoi is its streets, with all the motorbikes and scooters weaving in and out between the moving cars and criss-crossing in all directions. Crossing the street is a hair-raising experience and you will need to be half drunk or blind in order not to feel scared as you cross. Interestingly enough if you just walk forward and not hesitate or back track you will arrive on the other side safely as the bikes and scooters will just swerve around you allowing you to pass and constantly hooting their horn as they go along just in case you may be dreaming or too scared to move. I am not very confident in this endeavor. It is amazing how alert these drivers are.

This shot was taken along a more peaceful street and I thought the tourists on bicycles would show the extent and fast growing tourism industry in Vietnam.

Hello Aloysius,

A picture with a lovely atmosphere, a street without cars only bikes.
I see two tourist with a bike, this is real a nice view, western people on an bike in Hanoi.
Nice daily life picture, good from colour and pleasant for look it.

A good view of street while both side of sidewalks full with motorcycles and bicycles. Good addition of bicycle riders and busy street visitors. Excellent daily life scene and you captured perfectly. Congratulations.

You really reminds me my trip there, a few year ago. Typical from Ha Noi streets and mood. Finally, not so bad to have include the western tourists (especially after reading your note).

I was in hanoi too. The narrow streets with the typical buildings, the many moterbikes and the rourists: you captured in thisp photo the atmosphere als very well!

Superb daily life scene in one of the street of Hanoi full of bikes and motorcycles, very well captured with a very good POV. Nice to see tourists riding on bicycles meaning the tourism is increasing in this beautiful country. Colors, clarity and composition are great.
