This picture was taken in Can Tho, the most important city in the Mekong Delta, with an estimated population of 1,121,000. The city is located on the south bank of Hau River, the bigger branch of the Mekong River.

The Mekong Delta es famous due to its river markets. The sellers are placed on the river (with boats) and in both sides of it.
