[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Halong Bay (we call it Vịnh Hạ Long in vietnamese) is undoubtedly the natural wonder of Vietnam. Located in the Gulf Of Tokin, 170 kilometres east of Hanoi, in northern Vietnam near the border with China. The bay consists of a dense cluster of 1,969 limestone monolithic islands, each topped with thick jungle vegetation, which rise spectacularly from the ocean. These tiny islands are dotted with beaches and grottoes created by wind and waves, and have sparsely forested slopes ringing with birdsong.

It took us around 3 hours from Hanoi to arrive on this breathtaking place. Although the weather was very hot and humid, it was a perfect day to shoot with my brand new Canon 10-22mm. We also had an opportunity to explore the caves which are beautifully illuminated for the benefit of tourists. I finally got a chance to see and to capture these outstanding landscapes which I ever dreamed of. Unfortunately, we didn't stay more than a day but for me, it was such a nice experience to share with everyone else.

Beautiful place, colourful boat works well as the main focal point in front of the steep cliffs. The wide angle lens suits so well on that place.
