Nice B&W shot here. I like how the fisherman is in shadow and the sparkles on the surface of the water add to a superb composition. Very well done!

Well, well! I thought you were "presque nul à propos de talent artistique" (Your own words!)

You absolutely must reconsider your opinion about yourself! :-) Because this image shows again how well you can compose and frame a shot...

I really like the shimmering water -- it brings a lot of life and motion to the image. I'm not sure I like how much contrast was added -- the fisher(man?) and boat seem reduced to a solid black silhouette -- almost like it was superimposed or is a cutout. I think that, since the water has more tonal range, it seems to stand out just a bit too
much (IMHO) -- have you tried it with a bit less contrast?

I do also like the composition -- I think the dark background line at the top gives it a sense of space.

Are you sure you're not a professional ???

I really like the shot. I think however that a tighter crop would improve it more. (bottom, bit of the top and left)

This too is very nice. The overall dreamy feel works well.
I would have liked just a little more sharpness in the fisherman, but under the circumstances I'd say this was not possible.
Well done!

Love this. Moody, strong, simple. Perfect composition and all that. I have only one question, what the heck is the black at the top of the shot? Don't crop it out- it's necessary for balance, i only want to know what it is.

Oh, and here is the big smile.

I'm going to run against opinion and say that I'm not keen on this one - the boat would be sharp if that had been where the focus point was, instead it was behind the boat by a good distance... If you'll pardon the pun, I think you missed the boat ;-)

wow i love the silhouette captured
i think i prefer your earlier posts to your more recent ones. i dont know why? i guess it's because you're bringing out stories in the older ones, where as most of your recent ones are point and shott type. also youve really experimented in your older shots. they are really good. you should try new things even now.
take care
