Photographer’s Note

I met these two local girls while strolling through the Sapa outdoor market on a cold and foggy morning. I was very surprised at the amount of english they were able to speak, they understood almost everything I was saying. They said that they enjoyed chatting to tourists and have picked up the language from their everyday encounters with us travellers. I really loved the spirit I felt from the local hill tribe people of Northern Vietnam, I was always greated with a smile.

very nice and obviously friendly girls, they make an appealing and colorful double portrait.
pity in our world(s) smiles are not that often and i think that's a shame.

Such a long time... I returned to your gallery and I see a lot of excellent new pics, especially great portraits!
