Photographer’s Note
This is my last in a series of night shots I took in Hoi An. The other two are The Lantern Store and the Evening Stroll. This image is of a family having dinner together as seen from outside the front door.
Family is very important in Vietnam, you will regularly see generations living together under one roof.

Hi Spiros,
I like this shot very much. It reminds me of the unique atmosphere of the streets of Hoi An at night... I found that the traditional vietnamese house architecture very attractive... the courtyards, doors, mezzanine... it takes all its majesty at night...
It must have been difficult to take this picture with a poor light but the result is very succesfull.
Thanks!
Vincent

Hello Spiros,
This is a beautifully conceived and implimented shot. The composition, light, colors, and exposure are all first rate, where the doors are used in framing the picture. It reminds me a little of Andrew Coppin's Evening Meditation.
Warm regards,
Bulent
