[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a rice paddie south of Tra Vinh, in the Mekong Delta. From my understanding, this is the first stage of rice farming. No actual grains of rice have appeared yet. This rice is being collected to be replanted in neat rows in the paddies where it will be harvested at the right time.
Although the sun had slipped behind a cloud when this shot was taken, giving it flatter light, I like the man's posture and the motion created by the blur.
Sometimes I wish I could say I did that on purpose.
