i was on my way to a market when i saw this driver taking a rest at a quiet side street... he was happy to oblige when i asked if i could take his photo... (i wish perhaps for more details, but handheld at 1/10s with the kit lense, i'm not complaining..)
continuing my quest for a decent b&w conversion... (posted the colour version as a ws) |

Hello Mark ... he seems so happy and relaxed after maybe a long day working hard. I like the black/white but I must say your workshop "edition" with the light is very special too. Barbara.

I think this B&W version looks a lot better. Nice job with the conversion. The look on the guys face is perfect and I like his relaxed body language. Great shot. I love the composition.

Ryan

I think this is a really good conversion, better than on your last upload. Good tones, better details in the shadows, control of the highlights and just the general look all seem good to me. I like the photo too; the strong diagonal works well for me, as does the contented look on his face. Surprisingly sharp considering the shutter speed. I think I wouldn't have minded a slightly lower POV, but it looks good as is. Nice shot Mark.
Reminds me of my tricycle driver from LP shot a bit.
