just my version of the midnight mass at the fascinating cao dai temple. see the theme for more pics.

if you visit make sure you take a fast lense and/or a tripod, so you can get better results than i did on most of my other shots here...

I immediately thought of Maciek's shot from this very same place. His was a more overhead shot, yours is from ground level. Different feel to the shot. What I like here is the depth created on the right side by the 5 rows of worshippers perfectly alligned. Very good shot Mark. Your result seems fine to me, is it blurry in the original large file?

Very interesting!!
I read you previous note.
This picture is rich of details, very well composed, and shows a very strange ceremony, I didn't know anything about that before now.

You still did a pretty decent job despite the low light Mark. I like the perspective lines here, nice repetition everywhere too.

Wondering why you didn't just shoot at a higher iso than 400 if you were having trouble with the light?

Hi Mark,
Outstanding, and this is what TE photos should be. Wonderfully composed. Agood quality image. Best wishes.

Good one, Mark, from this oft photographed place. You've managed to put your own stamp and coloration on to it. Very nicely composed with that long column of people on the right anchoring the shot and opening it up.
Cheers,
Francis

Hi Mark, such a mezmerizing shot and perspective. The combination of the beautifully decorated columns and the depth of the symmetrical rows of worshippers is superb!

Hi Mark
Excellent pov with so much depth created by the lines of black hats. They really draw the eye right to the colourful back of the building.

Nikki

Fist time I have seen this temple. Despite your tripod and low light you have made a good iamge, the rows of neatly clad devotees in amongst the ornate pillars makes for an intersting compo.

I'm an absolute sucker for perspective, so I like what you have done here... I only wish those two fellas on the bottom left were not there, but thats just me looking for extra order in this very organised picture. So great that they all have the same coloured hair, as anything different would not create such a strong perspective...

Hi Mark.

God I love CaoDai, but you knew that already. Here you have found a new and interesting angle/set of lines in the temple and it really works for me. I love the line that goes on into the distance along the right hand side, it really carries the shot for me. Things look sharp enough for me here; maybe not perfectly sharp but not annoyingly soft at any rate. If I was to have a complaint it would be that the colors don't quite appear as vibrant as I remember them from here. I think a slight boost of the top right section in curves would help this a lot. This temple is so great, and your shot really makes me want to return again.

Very strong converging perspective rythme with these heads with a particular artificial light colormood makes this a special shot Mark, a remarkable place with the columns and the dresses.

Good colorful photo of the temple and ceremony. I like the POV on this one.
