Photographer’s Note
A scene from Can Tho. I noticed this woman sitting at the main street near the market, she was selling vegetables. So I just squatted behind her and took a shot. Then I thought to myself: "let's wait a bit". and the suddenly this guy came on his bike, I couldn't have asked for more luck ;) so I have two pictures with her, i like this one more
no cropping, minor PS adjustments

Nice photo, I like it, but I think many of your other photos are better, maybe I think the background is a little too in focus and a little distracting. It's still good, just not outstanding like many of your others :)
I've tried a workshop.

Good shot, but I just wish that both the woman and the man were in focus. This can be done quite easily with a digicam. The background, on the other hand, I find that it works for the image. Vietnam is a crowded place so it would have taken ages to get the street nice and empty. Just the focus is what bothers me here. Anyway, good work.

Nice image once again Maciek. You had the right refelex to suat down, that way we are really "inside" the picture. The buyer is looking down at us. Well done.

This original cloth pattern deserved the shot (these colourful patterns, it seems it's a Mekong area specialty, not so colourful elsewhere) but I agree with Josh that, while your angle increases the image interest, the shot is flat and too crowded with details without any obvious separation.
I would have chosen a minimal aperture for this one, in order to get minimal DOF and a sense of Depth.

Good shot Maciek, but not your best. To me, it looks as though the focus is on the woman and not the motorcycle rider. Since it is his face we see, I wish that was what was sharp. For my personal tastes, you have a little too much contrast here too, although I know you like contrasty and it is more a matter of opinion than anything else. What others have said about the background being a bit busy is also true, but until you buy a DSLR, not sure how much control you would have over that.

Very colorful pattern. I wonder why you didn't use a shallow DOF for this shot? It could have made the foreground subjects from their busy background. Good angle/POV anyway. Good shot. Pts. tomorrow.
Will be waiting for your shots from your new camera.
Thinking of getting a better lens. Currently, the one I have is Nikkor AF-S 24-85 mm f/3,5 - 4.5 (IF) ED. Any suggestions of the site where I can get reviews?

Razor sharp and I actually like the DOF you used here. There are so many colourful and interesting objects here besides the two subjects in the foreground, that it is a real joy absorbing all these details. Once again, an excellent documentary picture, Maciekda! A bit different actually compared to your other work ;)

Nice photo here, great composition and timing, I guess he stopped to buy something or maybe asking for a date?
Nicely framed and cropped too

I like the busy background in this shot. Streets in Vietnam are always busy, usually bikes everywhere. The colours of the girl`s clothes and the bike are great. I am becoming quite used to seeing someone`s back in your shots. I like it.

the colors are so vivid in the image. there is alot going on(all the colors)in the background but the eye stays on the bike and the dress. very well done Maciej.

Maciek I like the composition you made here. I always invite friends photographers to kneel more often.. and it makes a whale of a difference here... it gives the whole scene its force. nice DOF and sharpness. the color of the front woman's clothes and the blue of the moped work very well. nice shot

What a beautiful picture. It is like a frame from a film, the best one. Great composition and colours.
