Good morning Mui Ne Photo

Photographer’s Note

When my parent departed Vietnam and took me along, I was a little boy. I must confess that the only thing "Vietnamese" in me is the language.

Last lunar calendar New Year, I made my first trip back to the country, to taste the foods and to experience the culture more than taking picture. This is one of the rare snapshots I made. As far as I remember, this has been shot at Mui Ne, near Phan Thiet.

hi ... this is a nice photo with strong colors ... i would have liked a crop from bottom though ...

there are some weird color fringes on the distant boats ... mostly in the edges ... is it a result of heavy post processing or came straight out of the camera?

I agree with sourav about the distortion among the boats further back... any way to get rid of it?

Hi Ngocson,
I can understand your feeling, my wife and I went to Vietnam few days ago, her parents are Viets, and my mother was living there, so it was a great experience for the two of us! I had the same feeling, difficult to take pictures with camera, most of them are printed in our mind for ever!!!!
thanks for sharing this moment of emotion, short, simple, but true.

Hi,

This is a good short. You put me into trouble now. I am visiting Vietnam next week and after seeing this pic, I may want to visit Mui Ne too.

BTW, what time of the day was this shot taken ?
