Photographer’s Note
To me, it is one of the most fascinating things while travelling: visiting local markets! I always feel so happy when I walk around between the local people and observe them when they are at their most genuine. It is a great learning school about their customs and their culture.
These women were selling snails at the market in Hoi An - a very colourful place. I enjoy the natural flow of business as they make their living and I tried to capture that in this 'clear transaction'.
In the background I captured a heritage of the French colonisation: their precious baguettes!

Hi Sabine, great composition and color! It is interesting with the French bagette in the background. I agree with you that the visit of the markets is so interesting. This is where you find the most traditional food and a lot of cone hats. Thank you for sharing your story...Kiet

Hi Sabine,
Very nice scene you captured, especially the note from hands to hands. Quick transaction with trust are keys in street business.
I love some details: the baguettes and the little foot ;o).
