Violet Myrtle Flower (Hoa sim)



Violet is the color of fantasy, playfulness, impulsiveness, and dream states. However, Violet Huế is also one of the famous symbols of Huế Viet Nam with all of faithfulness, kind heart and profoundness…. Violet Myrtle Flower (Hoa sim) is the wild flower which we could see on the barren hills in Central Viet Nam. I took this shot on the Vong Canh Hill, Huế where they grew scattered under the pines and hustle in the Lau grass beside the poetic Perfume River... I hope that Hue will reserve effectively its cultural identity, its millennial traditions. Without action or help from provincial authorities, Vietnam is going to lose whole historic towns and heritages .
