Photographer’s Note
This picture was taken from the top of one the 1,969 limestone monolithic islands that make the beautiful scenery of the Halong Bay. And this particular island has an interesting story. On 22 November 1962, this tiny island had the honour of receiving a visit from astronaut Ghermann Titov, a hero of the former Soviet Union, accompanied by Ho Chi Minh. To perpetuate the remembrance of their visit, the island was named 'Titov Island'.
