| You never know what type of vehicles are going to be sharing the road with you in Vietnam! It was kind of embarassing taking this shot, actually, because the driver of our van was kind enough to pull over so we could see it close up and I jumped out like a mad woman and ran down the street to take a photo! Water Buffalo are ubiquitous in Vietnam, and are used much like horses are elsewhere; they are used for plowing, pulling carts, and other labor. There are also cattle, but they don't seem to be as numerous. These guys are amazingly strong, and well-trained. They were proceeding down the road calmly despite the traffic blowing by them... |
