I shot this picture in Tay Ninh temple during a Cao Dai cerimony

Cao Đài (Vietnamese: Cao Đài (help·info)) is a relatively new, syncretist, monotheistic religion, officially established in Tây Ninh, southern Vietnam, in 1926. Đạo Cao Đài is the religion's shortened name, the full name is Đại Đạo Tam Kỳ Phổ Độ (Great Religion [of The] Third Period [of] Revelation [and] Salvation). The term Cao Đài literally means "high place." Figuratively, it means that highest place where God reigns. It is also the abbreviated name for God, the creator of the universe, whose full title is Cao Đài Tiên Ông Đại Bồ Tát Ma-ha-tát (translation: Cao Dai [the] Ancient Sage [and] Great Bodhisattva Mahasattva). Within the title are representations of the Three Teachings: Saint, Sage and Buddha.
Caodaiists credit God as the religion's founder. They believe the teachings, symbolism and organization were communicated directly from God. Even the construction of the Tây Ninh Holy See is claimed to have had divine guidance. Cao Đài's first disciples, Ngô Văn Chiêu, Cao Quỳnh Cư, Phạm Công Tắc and Cao Hoài Sang, claimed to have received direct communications from God, who gave them explicit instructions for establishing a new religion that would commence the Third Era of Religious Amnesty.
Adherents engage in ethical practices such as prayer, veneration of ancestors, nonviolence, and vegetarianism with the minimum goal of rejoining God the Father in Heaven and the ultimate goal of freedom from the cycle of birth and death. Estimates of the number of Cao Đài adherents in Vietnam vary, but most sources give 2 to 3 million. Some estimates are as high as 8 million adherents in Vietnam. An additional 30,000 (numbers may vary) (primarily ethnic Vietnamese) live in the United States, Europe, and Australia.

Hello Silvio,
I saw this ceremony once. Truly amazing. You found a very good POV, facing the crowd and also showing some of the peculiar architecture. Good colours and good handling of the somewhat sparse light.

bellissima! sai perche'? e' piena di colori forti e ben rappresenati, le tre colonne con il torciglione verde sembrano essere riprese dalle tre file di persone sedute a pregare, la vista dall'alto aumenta l'impatto visivo dato dalla distribuzione delle persone nello spazio e dai colori.

Osta...il taglio e i colori sono pregevoli qui...
per adesso è quella che preferisco tra quelle che hai postato dell'ultimo viaggio.
Le geometrie e il pov sono di gran classe, complimenti....
Per il resto posso aggiungere solo che i vietnamiti sono dei veri tamarri!...con queste colonne rosa vanno ben oltre il nostro barocco!

Davvero un ottimo scatto. Bello e originale. Non mi disturba nemmeno quella leggera sovraesposizione sulla colonna a sinistra che sembra essere venuta leggermente distorta sulla sinistra.
Ma... hai notato una cosa?
Guardando dal basso verso l'alto sul lato sinistro. il monaco Blu "chamiamolo così", sul lato sinistro della foto, non ha una bella espressione.
Sembra disturbato da te che fai la foto su di loro.

E' un gioiello questa foto, con quella colonna sulla sinistra che è come un festone che sottolinea il resto dell'immagine. Splendido anche il gioco delle diagonali nella disposizione dei gruppi.

Hi Silvio, this is a very interesting composition. You've obviously made the most of limited movement during the ceremony to compose this shot. The pillar hiding some of the supplicants gives the feeling of voyeurism, as if what one is witnessing is a secret ceremony. I don't know if this is what was intended by you, but it has that pleasing effect. Good work!
