Photographer’s Note

The Cao Dai Temple is so fascinating. As far as photography goes, it is frustrating in its richness. Colorful and interesting architecture, fasicinting people and a maddening number of potential shots. However, I actually found it frustrating and challenging in that when there were people inside, it was hard to find a good vantage point. the pillars are great, but get in the way. the worship is intriguing, but as a visitor, we are only allowed to view it from upstairs, jostling with hundreds of others. I know there are great shots to be had in here, but I had difficulty finding them. Here, I just liked how perfectly lined up they were and how they were being sidelit through a window. I have to get back there and have another go at Cao Dai.

Shot from a tripod, ISO 200, uncropped, normal post processing.
