Day XX

It was my last day before leaving to Ho Chi Minh city where I had to take the plane back to Paris.

I had a small walk near Da Lat central market before the dinner. It was the last images and it was a great moment. Everything I liked in the trip was there : the colors, the life, the sounds... and the cone hats ! This is one of the images I prefer.

Even if the picture is a little dark, I wanted to share this last cone hat...

Hi Stephane I like this one a lot. I like the graphisme of this shot with the people well placed to the extreme frame. Well done. Bala

beau coup d'oeil
Patrice

Salut Stephane,
nice idea, good composition. It's a little bit noisy, but that doesn't matter. What is she doing with the bike on the stairs?
Kind regards,
Roland alias ahmet54

This is very good composed and very well placed picture
I wonder how the women got her bicycle there.
The two colors of the stairs are very good in this composition too
Well seen and captured

Hi Stephane!
Good composition.Curious effect!
I like the colours and frame.
Greetings

Salut Stéphane. Beautiful work on the framing of this photo, with the 2:1 vertical division of the darker and brighter part of the stairs, and the positioning of the two main characters in the upper right corner. You might try to touch up contrast and brightness a little bit more, but from a compositional point of view this is really excellent. Well done.

Hi Stephane,
this is great. Wonderful graphical image.
I like the way the two people are placed.
Great composition.
Nino

eheheh we will post similar photos Stephane, i love this graphism and the framing... everything well done.

Mario

Hi Stephane.
Splendide celle ci.
Franchement bravo.

Hi Steph

nice shot
I would only regret the man is looking directly to you,

more contrast would help too

K.

I understand why this is one of the cone head pictures you prefer.
The picture looks simple but isn’t. It must be a staircase, but you can hardly see the steps. However it must be broad steps. You can see that on the bicycle.
So it isn’t simple at all.

Bonjour Stéphane,
Wow, what a great but simple shot! You placed the people brilliantly in the shot and the simplicity of all the lines is also great! Very well done!
Groeten,
Lars

Nicely seen those steps as a graphical background to spot those two people in a strong place of the frame, wondering if she with the cone hat will take her bicycle down along all those steps....
Nicely seen Stephane
Greetings
Henk

Hi Stephane
A strong composition which emphasises the vastness of the steps in relation to the people. Excellent placement of the subjects in the frame. Nice capture.
Regards, Sarah

Amazing how something so simple can have such an interesting effect. The compression effect the long lens has on the steps almost makes them look like bars. Well spotted and well composed.
Kath

Hi Stéphane, This photo provides a feeling of these two persons were floating in the air. An excellent effect. Nice contrast and good depth. A well seen and well captured picture. I enjoy it very much. Well done.

wow, the people here look so out of place, I like the steps and the position of the two people, very good composition, well done

Yes, no more cone hats here either.......
How did she manouvre her bike down those stairs, and why was she there?
The people are well placed here in the frame.

Ahhhhhhhhhh !
Jean Michel

If it were only the lines without the people, I might think this was a wall or a mat. Suddenly, with your subjects there (placed perfectly), they seem to float. It's an incredible effect. Excellent point of view and well seen. I like it!

Hi Stephane - great geometry and composition, very artistic, excellent work.

This one is one of my favourite.

I like a lot your shot, specially how you framed the scene with steps with two colors is fantastic. But looking the picture careful there is something than catch my eyes too much and is not relevant on that picture: the man looking the camera. Excuse-me, if I post an workshop cutting the man, I like more in that way, How about you??

What a fine graphism this is Stephane! The stark and grimy two-toned stairs with two people and of course the cone hat forms a delightful combination. The framing is pot on. Great job!

Regards from Rotterdam, Bert.

I like that overwhelming space in the stairs; really good atmosphere in it.
Even as a thumb it is already very attractive.
Huub

Great abstract shot, Stephan. That persons seem to be suspended.
Waiting for your new postings. Regards Polo

Hi Stephane,
Very interesting shot and nicely composed. Unfortunately, the man doesn't appear to natural and it looks he is looking straight to you. The cone hats are really interesting, very different of all we have on the ocidental World.
Well done.
Ricardo

Hello Stephane. Bravo! Francis

I must be here to see this shot, glad you posted this strong and fine work,Stephane, skilfully captured with a great composition,a nice graphism and perspective you managed here, great one, nicely done,
Best to You
M

Nicely seen Stephane. Very simple and yet effective. They were standing in a perfect spot on one side of the line. And with the bike they tell how wide the steps are even though they look small. It is a bit dark and could use a little work. The crop is nice but I like having both people in it. I'll see what I can turn up in a workshop. But it is a good photograph with an ambiance that suits what you describe.

Hi Stephan,
Very nice picture. The contrast achieved between the people and the stairs it's just great. You did a great composition also due to the placement of the people. Really nice :)

Be well,
António

A very special and well composed image - I like the lines of the staircase and the vertical change in colours - thanks Stephane and congratulation.

Wonderful composition, Stephane. The subjects in the top left and the different coloured steps separating them from the other part of the picture. Very effective.

Allo Stephane
It is good to go through your old photos and find some very nice photos.
about this photo ... I can't add much beside what has already been said about it.
but I do like such a graphic composition in this one .... only thing I could wish for more would be a sharper picture and a better lighting
tfs ... regards ... sarju

stepan, this picture shows great sensitivity and a true knowledge of composition, the placement of the people is what gives it a very surreal touch, almost as if floating on a drawn background.
thanks for sharing!
paula

Hello Stephane. A very unusual presentation. The composition of repetitive parallel lines is quite pleasing, especially since there is a division in colour. Putting the man and woman in the top corner works very well. Regards, Klaudio

Beautiful geometry, the perspective is nice and the double color of the stair is a good additive, image well composed, compliments.
