| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| A paddy field is a flooded parcel of arable land used for growing rice and other semiaquatic crops. Rice can also be grown in dry-fields, but from the twentieth century paddy field agriculture became the dominant form of growing rice. Paddy fields are a typical feature of rice-growing countries of east and southeast Asia, including China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. |

Paul and Sara: a nice composition - good eye here for the layout. Your note is fully worthy of TE posts as well. regards, c
Excellent work! I like the mood of the image and the note is useful too. I would not be able to survive without rice. I can image it's hard work harvesting it. The soft pastel colours of the workers' shirts really complement the photo.
Nice job,
Sarah
