An other photo taken from a moving vehicle and cropped a little.

I had seen a few of these wonderful wooden barges on canals within the city, with their large painted eyes. They were being unloaded, but my camera wasn't at hand...

There is something of a confrontation or perhaps a synergy in Viet-Nam between the traditional and the modern. The design of these barges has probably not changed much over the years, now they have engines, and yet they play a role in the industrial growth of the country...
