Originally, Vietnamese had no religion. They did not pray for deities, gods or relics, but only their ancestors. Up to now, after four thousand years, they would continue to pray for their forefather besides "imported" Gods.
Those incenses burned in Tet would bring their wishes in the Lunar New Year to heaven, where the ancestors eyeing and supporting them in every step in their life. |
