Lighting incense and praying at one of the pagodas in Saigon's Cholon district. (Sorry, I forgot to write down which one it was and now I can't figure it out.) Cholon is Saigon's Chinatown and is known for, among other things, its beautiful pagodas. I especially liked the bright pink prayer flags that can be seen a bit in the background.
Best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year to all. |

About 2005, same to you Mimi... Nice photo this one, the ray of light, the smoke, the colors... Maybe IŽd try to put the man between the two bowls fo incense but is more than OK for me. Nice picture for a yearŽs end.
the way the smoke is covering in a blue haze the main focal piont of this photo makes it so differetn, the element of the culture and the color of the red incensem, the pint fabric, and the expressionless face of the woman, make thie photo special good job happy healthy new year to you

Mimi, this is so good, I can almost smell the heavy fug of the incense. I will be there in 2 months time and the more photos I see, the more excited I become.
The light coming through the roof(?) gives perfect lighting on the smoke.
Just one critism, I want to know the name of that pagoda, please.
Have a great New Year.

Well composed, good mood.
Good dense smoke and devotion of the prayer ...
very nice capture.
Nice shot Mimi.. You've captured an integral part of Asian daily life in a great picture....It transports me back in time when I visited Hongkong... My first China(town:)..
Well exposed. Good composition but especially: perfect atmosphere.
