hi Julia,
I love the expression on this little girl's face!
the eye contact is really good, and the fact that you seem to have closed in on her face, leaving out a part of the head, invites us to concentrate on her expression.
I don't know how close you were to her, but maybe a wider aperture would have given you a more blurred background, enhancing even more the little girl's face. but often there's no time to set the camera and either we shoot or we lose the photo =)

Hey Julia,

Haha, what a great expression! Your photo is well framed, I also like the floral patterns on the clothes of both the girl and the two women in the background, this adds also more interest to the photo.

I also like the blurred scale in the background - it adds a sense of being candid with the photograph, and photographing simple, everyday life with its surprises.

Hallo Julia,

ich habe soeben gemerkt, dass du aus Oesterreich kommst...also kann ich gleich auf Deutsch schreiben.

DAs Gesicht dieses Babys ist absolut suess und zart....man versteht nicht, ob sie zuchtern oder veraengstigt ist....aber die Augen sind so magnetisch...und versuessend.....man koennte gleich auf den Knien fallen!

Hallo Julia,
schön das wieder mal gutes Fotomaterial aus Österreich kommt :)
Das Mädchen ist schön im goldenen Schnitt positioniert, horizontal auf jeden Fall und die Augen auch vertikal gesehen. Die Blende hätte ich weiter aufgemacht, damit der Hintergrund mehr verschwimmt. Aber das wichtigste ist, dass das Bild ein Gefühl transportiert, das können wenige.

ah Juliette - such a beautifully telling portrait - one of those images that reveals the mystery of a child's thoughts - yet somehow they remain a wonderful mystery! A very nicely caught expression in reaction to your interest in her.
