Photographer’s Note
i watched this woman while strolling around between the market stands in hoi an. she was looking really serious, wonder what she was thinking about. i liked the setting, with the chickens in the foreground, the colours...
the light conditions where bad so i was not able to shoot a perfect picture. the sharpness could be better and a wide open the lens would have been useful too.. well, i like the picture anyway.

Fine daily life scenery. I noticed that since my visit in Vietnam - in 1988 nothing has changed...

Hi Julia,
This is a very appealing and interesting photo of daily life. This type of photos represent the life of that country. Good POV, nice photo. Congrats.

hi Julia
actually the soft focus doesn't disturb me at all - I like it in this context, it retains the feel of travel shots - because sometimes ultra-sharp images seem more magazine shots than real life.
she's well positioned in the composition and her expression speaks volumes...
well done,
cris

Hi Juliette, this is an example of people-watching. You have brought this lady (and her chickens:) to life for me, I feel as if I'm standing next to you when you took the photo. The image is beautifully sharp and you have really done well with the difficult light conditions. Great job, congratulations, Lisa

Hallo Julia
Herzlichen Gruss
Urs

Although the women is nicely positioned in your frame the whole image comes into focus by the relationships between the primary colours scattered around - they link and encourage the eye to take in the details across the picture - nice work Julia.
