A fun capture with slow shutter and panning to give the feeling of speed & motion, just about almost every element of this shot is blurred -other than the words on his shot- and everything happening so quickly. This was taken in Danang city centre on a dull cloudy day as I was trying to get away from the traditional static shots and I quite liked the low light background giving the feeling of enclosure and contrast to the subject.
I'm afraid panning an image will hardly ever totally freeze sharply the main subject especially in this case with two easy going cyclists doing slightly different speeds in the same frame. Thus a slight higher shutter speed will only counter act the effect I was trying to achieve. A bit of trial and error but managed to nail this photo pretty quickly.
The shot was taken at 1/8s f/14, camera was mounted on a monopod.

Hello Abmdsudi - I see we're neighbors today, and that you've posted another great panning shot. You do these wonderfully, creating a sense of bustle and motion; part of that is the skill, part of that is a great ability to choose your subjects. Really nicely done, thanks!

Panning picture make is a little bit specialisation.

I´m really become jealous admiring this kind of your shots(will have to try it out how to do it)
The effect both visual as well as graphical are strong and definitely help you to make the scene as expressive as possible. The sense of movement is achieved perfectly and gives the scene nice, dynamic character.
Have a nice weekend

a nice dramatic feel is coming in my mind when I see it in large. Not a perfectly capture panning, but has a nice effect and a fine sense of motion. Colourful shot. Tfs.

Another well carried out experiment of capturing the speed of street life. The blurred streaks of red and green create an excitement and give an illusion of a much greater speed than I believe these cyclists were capable of. It's a funny picture and a great change from the perfect sunsets and super sharp portraits.

A shot well executed, to capture this beautiful motion effect without unpleasant distortion, the overlapping part of the two bikes is really spectacular, the color is also very attractive.
Very well done.
Enjoy the weekend.
All the best.

Here you have excellently captured one of the most important transportation equipment in Vietnam, the bicycle. I like the smooth, motion blur combined with nicely controlled panning. Nice creative photo.
Very well done.
Wish you a nice Sunday.

You are very good in capturing great action from ordinary events with good panning techniques. I should try this sometimes. I like the way the lights are streaking across the frame with wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

I like your panning photos very much, they are always interesting, they look exotic and the fun element is always there. The viewer can share your excitement in trying and finally capturing a unique image. I enjoy very much this image and the way you recorded the different speeds and the attitudes of the cyclists. There's wonderful sense of depth and lovely deep colours. The horizontal lines accentuate the dynamism of the scene and the three cycles create superb graphism. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely evening,

Wow this motion image of your's is fantastic, the colours awesome, love it.
Well done top marks, a bit of humor as well with the bikes looking like they are racing the moterbike.

you really have realized a picture here giving the impression of motion and speed. The most important here is the unsharpness of the shot that makes the main effect. Very well done.TFS.
