Photographer's Note

On an wet day this marble Buddha in the garden of the Phac Hat pagoda in Hoi An was just next to a tree under which we sheltered. The tree provided good protection for taking the photo.
Marble is a popular material for sculptures in the region due to the closeness of the Marble Mountains. These days most of the marble used comes from China whilst the Marble Mountains have become a bit of a tourist trap crowded with tour coaches.
