Photographer’s Note
tam coc is an awesome area with giant limestone karst formations and wonderful rice fields near ninh binh. you can make a sampan trip (a very flat boat)on the river which the locals paddle with their feet. some women, like the one on the picture, sell different kinds of sweets and drinks to the mainly native tourists.
i was on the boat which was bobbing up and down so it was not so easy to get a good detail but i think the light in the picture is quite nice.

hi julia,
actually I think 5.6 was a good aperture here, it shows enough details of the boat while leaving the background sufficiently out of focus.
I love the Chupa Chups sticking out at the front =)

Hello Julia
Very nice photo. I like the light as you say in your note, and I also like the mainly grayscale in the photo in contrast with some more colourful details on the boat.

julia,
At first I thought this has the lady with the back & that makes it a dull one.
But on second thought, I realise that the elements here are so strong that I do not miss her face. Strangely her placement with her back to the lens makes this a mysterious one to look at.
Well done.
