Photographer's Note
3.22 p.m. - I did a day trip to Tam Coc which is about 130 km south of Hanoi and took slightly over two hours by bus to reach. Tam Coc literally means “Three Caves” and the numerous limestone karst mountains resulted in this place to be popularly known as “Inland Halong”. Taking the three hours sampan trip up and down the Ngo Dong river which meanders through this picturesque landscape and passing through the three caves is a must. If you are lucky you will also be greeted by fields of ripening golden rice ears on either banks of the river, a reminder that Vietnam is the main rice producer in the world.

Hi Aloysius,
I find the composition here superb, excellent placement of the mountain slope on the right hand side with the wide view on the left, where the water leads the eye to the background. The atmosphere is pleasant too and the colours, or actually the many green tones are very nice. Good work, thanks for sharing!

Hi Aloysius,
Nice to see your last two uploads next to each other. The dark blue composition next to this soft green image. And yet they have much in common. Remarkable!

Hello Aloysius,
This is a lovely composition, well balanced and a great feeling of depth!
Attractive colours, in particular the different shades of green are appealing...
The typical landscape with the limestone cliffs is well recorded, and the river reflects the surroundings nicely!
Greetings,

Hello Aloysius
Like this view...echoes of Ha long & as I read & learn from your note, there are similarities & also in the name. Like the lush green vegetation on the karsts. It does appear that they farm on the water as well...water apples? Beautiful shot from this beautiful place!
