Photographer’s Note
One of thousands of weathered limestone peaks in this northern part of Vietnam between Hanoi City and Halong Bay, one of the natural parks in this country.
These peaks look somewhat like Chinese paintings especially on misty days.
Another example in the WS.

By looking at the WS, it looks like a quite nice place with all those limestone peaks. At least they are famous and on many post cards from Vietnam. The close up of the main posting is very nice and the amount of detail is excellent. I like that plant growing on the rocks and even having some flowers too. Well done.

Hello Murray,
A grand formation it is! The scene you have captured does very much resemble a Chinese or Asian Painting. I like the workshop with the dark charcoal and blue sky, it appears that this limestone is near the age that coal may be, is it in years near the same?
Excellent images both...

Amazing rock, Murray,
dark stone, green trees and a wonderful blue sky, it's a pretty motive and I also like the name - limestone, IMO it has to be yellow ;-)
Thanks and greetings

This is a facinating and dramaticoutcrop, Murray. You have captured it sharply and presented it as a good example of that regins landscape. Rgeards Kevin

Black limestone?
Interesting.
Very good photo, looks a bit like macro-photo, such unusual object is it!

Now we are talking!!! This is a descent attempt which shows many improved parts.
1. Sharpness is very good
2. Theme: not the best part of this photo
3. Contrast etc: You have increased the dark areas making them somehow unnatural. Make them a little darker so the contrast can be appreciated.
The workshop is a better way to start.
PS I wanted to ask you how does the 18-200 perform? I have not read good critiques so I was wondering. Please leave a word or two, thanks.

Hi Murray,
The point of view takes our eyes toward the limestone peak, it is also showing the details and colors of the rock formation. The subject is well frame. The nice blue sky is sending a light which is enhancing the colors of the scene. Have a nice day.

Hello Murray,
These limestone peaks seem to be very interesting natural objects. They are unusual on forms and color, and beautiful. Very good representation of this natural phenomenon!
Best regards,
Sergiy
