Photographer’s Note
This range of limestone mountains arises from the flat delta area of the Red River which flows west to east into the Gulf of Tonkin in the South China Sea. Formed over 500 million years of erosion these steep hills have a surreal look no matter what time of the day.

Hello Murray,
What a spectacular shot of the limestone mountains in the Gulf of Tonkin. There is an ethereal view here, with an excellent demonstration of light degrading with distance, and becoming bluish. It is remarkable how steep they are, something I would not have expected of geological structure half-a-billion years old.
Warm regards and have a sensational New Year — one marked by health, happiness and prosperity.

Hi Murray
a superb minimalist image. A lot of delicacy in the tones, pretty much like a painting.
Regards
Emmanuel
