Photographer’s Note
A solitary lady heads off to the fields to cut or collect a crop of some sort. She has a long sickle in one hand. Most people in many developing countries work long hours in the fields tending crops in a subsistance way of living. However it seems to be a more sustainable way of life than what is going on in much of the so-called developed world these days.
Taken while at a stop for petrol, over the back fence while standing on a small concrete water tank.

Hello Murray,
A real Vietnamian image, people working on the field
I find this rural picture very nice.
You chose an excellent angle so we get depth and very well perspective.
Lovely presentation too. TFS.
Have a nice weekend,
John.

Here they work to feed the family and not to produce ethanol. I like the huge sense of depth you managed here. And the light is superb too. Well done.

Hi Murray,
The presence of the people in the field has an effect of scale. The reflections in the water are assets to the composition. The point of view takes our eyes toward the end of the field which is giving depth to the photo. The light is enhancing the colors and is giving them a good contrast. Have a nice day.
