Photographer’s Note

A shot of one of the many boats that ply the waters of the truly beautiful Ha Long Bay in Vietnam.

We booked the three day cruise once we got to Ha Noi - a good tip - don't bother booking before you get there, you can get a much better deal once you're in Ha Noi.

And don't go to Vietnam without doing it, well worth it.

Thanks for the tip, this place is on my list of places to go, looks great. And a 3 day cruise through this sort of scenery sounds ideal. I do love this limestone scenery. Great composition.

Hello Adam,
the photo is very nice and, to me, it looks a bit like a painted picture.. at least, colour-wise and composition-wise.
I like the colour of the quiet water and its smooth surface which is disturbed only by the boat.
The foreground which seems to be slightly in a haze looks very nice, too.
Good juxtaposition of the foreground (the boat) and the background. It's good that the boat isn't in the centre of the photo.

Hi Adam,
A beautiful old style boat on this famous landscape. Those steep cliffs are simply amazing. Good off centre framing with the boat entering the frame from a corner.
