Cat Ba, 20º43'03''N 107º02'17''E

I've took this picture when I was on the ferry that go from Hai Phong to Cat Ba. This ferry cross a part of Halong Bay and give the first impression of the little island that you can visit.
When you arrive to the harbour, hotel's managers are waiting to offer you a room. It was cheap, $6 US by night in 2005.

Hi Jean-Claude, A very nicely composed photo, the overall scene is excellent with the strong green hills in the back ground & the beautiful array of boats in the forground, the sky is very good, although it could of been cropped just a little, however it's the frame it's to large & distracting, the overall photo is still great, kind regards Wilson.

Une superbe composition, mais beaucoup de bruits chromatique et de moiré dans le ciel pour une photo de jour. Une bonne photo, mais à la qualité douteuse.

Its a nice capture! The bay is beautiful with its boats in the foreground and mountains in the background! Its a pity you didn´t clean up the noisy sky! Its easy!

Beautiful image of this beautiful and famous place, interesting boats, nice to see the also they have the red cross, I like well also the composition with the big space of the sky, a little less the black frame but this is my opinion, anyway compliments, to the image and the interesting note, really cheap hotels there :)

This is very good picture of landscape.
Composition and color are all great.
One thing, the photo looks a bit tough, maybe
because of the grain. Did you do it on purpose?
I think in general that the POV should be taken
with as clear as possible...but I might be wrong.

Jolie photo de Cat Ba, même si je trouve les couleurs un peu trop vives: sont elles naturelles? Merci en tout cas pour le partage, et les souvenirs qu'ils remmémorent ( les meilleurs nems que je n'ai jamais mangé étaient fabriqués sur le port!). Amicalement.

voilà un paysage que je trouve merveilleux!Le point de vue est superbe,j'adore les photos prises de la mer!Les couleurs sont belles.J'aime les proportions de la photo,avec une large partie réservée au ciel.Le seul petit regret serait le bruit visible dans le ciel.Mais c'est une photo qui donne vraiment envie d'aller là-bas.
