chuck. this image is another great look at dialy life. the note is great as well. however, technically the image lacks a little. the image looks like you dragged the shutter... and for my eye, not in a good way.
i see you chose to shoot at 1/45 @ f\4. my guess is this was as much necessity as it was choice. i think the rule of thumb is, you need a shutter speed that's quicker than your focal length is long. so, your focal length is 94mm. you'd need to go to 1/125th (or whatever your camera offers above 1/94) for it to stay sharp. in order of 1/125 to work, you'd have to pull the aperature open by two stops. by the looks of it, that canon 70-200 only opens up to f/4. so, i don't think you could have achieved this shot any better without a tripod.
i realize this was a little long winded, but on the off chance you hadn't heard this rule before, i thought i'd share. if you knew this and everything i'm looking at is a choice you made, then please disregard.
i wouldn't have taken the time if i didn't love looking at your images.
