Photographer's Note

While strolling the bustling streets of Hanoi's Old Quarter I found refuge in a small pagoda, right in the middle of the street. For a few minutes I was "safe" from the constant noise, traffic, and annoying touts and could look at the action in the nearby street from a safe distance. The street hawker went in the frame by coincidence and I decided that she symbolizes the vietnamese capital more than anything else.
