At the end of a long day selling in the market, a woman rests before heading home. Perhaps, like so many others, she had sat for hours with a small pile of vegetables for sale in front of her. Even if she sold them all it might at best yield her one US dollar. But such women return every day; they have no alternative.

Nice brown color with that little green of the tree.
Very good balance and low point of view.

I like the atmosphere in your shot, long hours waiting to survive, yes, they work very hard.
The colors are authentic, good vertical format.
Thanks for sharing

Ken bonjour - very low and interesting POV - this shot, as your note, is sad and touching and I like this little woman lonely in the center of the shot (sorry for my english)-
Have a nice sunday

Good picture for daily life, which in some cases can be very hard. Good Notes.

Very nice shot Ken! You are the master of these 'slice of life' shots. I like the framing, with the woman down in the corner and the big wall behind. I also like the lonely expression, which communicates the difficulty of her postion well. Great work!

A lovely daily life shot, Ken. I like your framing with the inclusion of the iron gate. It conveys a symbolism that she is shut out from the more affluent world that perhaps exists behind this gate and the wall. Good deatil and sharpness for a scan, and very natural colours. Cheers . . . David

Superb composition, Ken! The textures behind the figure enhance the scene very much, giving more details and interest to the photo. Nice work!

The composition, colors and cropping made so perfect, that there is nothing to add, nothing to take away.

this is also a great capture of an everyday scene in VN. great choice of framing. i like the muted colors and i think the gate adds texture and the criss-cross lines contrast nicely with the wall. only critique is that the girl is looking at the camera. i think the overall image would be better if we could glimpse into her world without her acknowledgement........ i know, some things are beyond the photographer's control
